Happily Ever After...

In February 2021, I took my boys on a family vacation to Negril, Jamaica…It was our first family vacation out of the country and I was excited to take them to my favorite place! I wanted to make sure they saw everything the resort had to offer. On the first morning we were there, I made my way to the concierge to make reservations for the week for dinner and water sports. While I was there, I met a very sweet woman (Beth VandenBos) who happened to be wearing a Kansas City Chiefs shirt (the day before they were in the Super Bowl) I congratulated her on her team being in the Super Bowl and wished her a wonderful vacation…later that afternoon I ran into that same woman as we coincidentally made reservations at the same time for the glass bottom boat. There, I met her 2 grandsons, Brent and Braylen and her son Daniel. We went on our trip and then went our separate ways…the following day I approached Daniel asking if he had any knowledge of a safe fishing trip I could take my boys on, figuring he would be more knowledgeable more than I being a single mom…we exchanged social media information and that’s where it all began…throughout the time on the island we shared information and made plans to have drinks at night with other friends we had made during our stay. After the trip, I headed back to New Jersey with my crew and he and his family headed back to Kansas City where they were from. For almost 2 years, we periodically would touch base, see how each other were doing, catch up a little on life’s events and chat awhile. It wasn’t until one random night on FaceTime that it all changed for me…there was something very special about this man and I needed to know more about him. A few weeks later I booked a trip to go visit Daniel in Kansas City for his birthday weekend. The minute he picked me up from the airport I think we both knew..❤️..It has been the most beautiful love story ever since. Exactly 2 years after we had reunited on his birthday weekend, on the exact same beach we originally met on 3 years prior, Daniel proposed to me in the most amazing, romantic way possible.
