During a Christmas trip to Mexico, Dámaso made the first move by sending Amy a message along with a photo of the Río Verde sign he had passed on his travels. From that moment on, they began talking every day, and what started as a simple message soon blossomed into a beautiful love story. Their first date was at a cozy Cuban coffee shop, where they discovered a mutual love for coffee and great conversation. As they continued spending time together, their bond grew stronger, and in March, Dámaso asked Amy to be his girlfriend.
