We know many of you will make long journeys to get to Salmon. We hope you can come for the weekend and enjoy some of the many outdoor opportunities the place has to offer! Here are a few suggestions to get you started: If you want to go rafting, the "town stretch" is a shorter trip offered by most guiding companies that doesn't take all day.

Kookaburra Rafting

Offering single day rafting, and fishing trips. Reservations required.

Idaho Adventures

Offering single day rafting and fishing trips. Reservations required.

Williams Lake

30 min. drive south of Salmon. A great place for swimming, fishing, hiking and relaxing.

Mountain Biking

There are plenty of mountain biking trails in the area! Mountain Bikes can be rented from The Hub.

Goldbug Hot Springs

The 2 mile hike to these remote natural hot springs is well worth it.

Sacajawea interpretive, cultural, and educational center

Interpreting the rich cultural and natural history of the Salmon and Lemhi River Country which was shaped in part by the Lewis and Clark Expedition and Sacajawea, as well as her people, the Agai’dika Shoshone-Bannock Tribes. Includes educational center and short interpretive trail.
