Question

How many people will be attending?

Answer

We anticipate the total number of guests in attendance to be somewhere between 75 – 115 people. Our final head count will be based on the COVID-19 restrictions in place at the time of the wedding, however, so we won’t have a more accurate estimate until May. We apologize for any inconvenience!

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our ceremony will be held indoors at St. Benedict Catholic Church and our reception will be hosted indoors/outdoors at the Eventide Lake Union @ Tyee. St. Benedict’s is a large church that has been holding both virtual and in-person masses in compliance with COVID-19 restrictions since the onset of the pandemic. For the most current capacity limit and additional information about the parish, please visit their website. The Eventide reception venue has a 180-person capacity for seated dining. Though the space is primarily indoors, the west wall of windows opens up completely onto a small patio, providing substantial airflow to the main dining area. Will you encourage social distancing?

Answer

While we’re optimistic about loosened restrictions by late May, we still anticipate encouraging our guests to maintain a six-foot distance between one another, except for guests who are from the same household. To the extent possible, we will provide detailed distancing guidelines at both the ceremony and reception locations.

Will there be sanitizing stations?

Answer

Yes. We will have at least two sanitizing stations at the church and at least four sanitizing stations at the reception venue. Both locations have restrooms located in their lobbies as well, providing guests with easy-access soap and water for hand washing.

Are masks required? Will they be provided?

Answer

Yes. Per current Washington State requirements, all guests will be asked to wear face coverings during the ceremony and reception, except while actively eating or drinking. If state guidelines should change regarding mask requirements, we’ll amend our expectations accordingly! We plan to provide reusable surgical masks for our guests at both the ceremony and reception locations for those who may forget to bring their own.

Will there be any high-risk guests?

Answer

We anticipate all of our high-risk guests will be fully vaccinated by the time of our wedding. Out of concern for the safety of everyone, however, we will still encourage all guests to abide by all mask, social distancing, and sanitizing guidelines.

Will you live stream your ceremony?

Answer

Yes, we plan to use Zoom to live stream our ceremony for guests who are unable to attend in person. Additional information about this option will be provided on our website as we near the wedding date.

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire, which can include cocktail dresses, skirts, pantsuits, suits, or sports coats. (And, of course, your mask!)

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

Average May temperatures in Seattle can range from high 50s to mid 60s, so a sweater or light coat is advised for mornings and evenings. While Seattle doesn’t necessarily live up to its rainy reputation, there’s always a chance you’ll need an umbrella!

Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?

Answer

Our ceremony will take place at St. Benedict’s Catholic Church and our reception will be held at the Eventide Lake Union @ Tyee. Visit the “Events” tab of our website for addresses. These two locations are approximately 7 minutes apart by car.

Will transportation be provided?

Answer

Unfortunately, we are unable to provide guests with transportation to/from the hotel or between our ceremony and reception venues. However, free parking is available at each location and there are plenty of rideshare options available across the city!

Where should we park? Is parking free?

Answer

Street parking around the church is free and there is a large lot located across the street behind the school. Street parking around the reception venue is free as well, but the lot in front is quite small and may be entirely used by vendor vehicles.

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony, the bridal party will be taking pictures nearby for around an hour. Guests can head straight to the reception venue where we will be serving appetizers and beverages.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We would love for your little ones to join in the celebration! Due to potential COVID-19 capacity limitations, however, there is a possibility our wedding may have to change to be an adults-only event. While we sincerely hope we won’t need to make this request, we will notify parents ASAP if we’re required to limit our total guest count.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we have to maintain a strict head count to ensure we comply with venue requirements. For the safety of all of our guests and the venue staff, we ask that you please only bring those specified on your invitation.

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

Answer

Yes! Please visit the “Travel” tab on our website for information on the two hotel blocks we’ve set up for guests, as well as neighborhoods we recommend for Airbnb accommodations.

When is the RSVP deadline? Do I need to mail back my RSVP or can I do it online?

Answer

Please RSVP online at our website by Saturday, May 1st. Due to the ongoing uncertainty around COVID-19 restrictions, this date is somewhat flexible. To ensure we have enough food, drinks, and other treats to go around, however, we would greatly appreciate receiving your response by this deadline!

Are the ceremony and reception location wheelchair accessible?

Answer

Yes, both locations are accessible by all guests.

How will food and drinks be served?

Answer

We currently plan to serve both appetizers and dinner family-style, with shared dishes on each guest table. This may change, however, depending on COVID-19 restrictions and the food safety protocol of our venue. Drinks will be available at a walk-up bar, with an open bar from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and a cash bar from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Non-alcoholic drinks will be available for free for the entire evening.

Will there be any vegan/vegetarian/gluten free/special diet options?

Answer

Yes, we plan to provide a variety of dishes to accommodate special diets. To ensure your specific dietary needs are met, please note them in your invitation response.

Where are you registered?

Answer

You can access our registry through the “Registry” tab on our website, which enables convenient online shopping across multiple retailers. If you prefer in-person shopping, you can access our online registries at any Target and Crate & Barrel store.

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

Absolutely! We would love for guests to post pictures on their social media channels, our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #amyandclarktake2 so we can keep track of all of your pictures!
