We met on our missions for our church while serving in Orem, Utah. It was at the end of our mission where we around each other. We already kind of knew each other through other missionaries. We starting talking to each other a lot because we both knew we were going to go to school at BYUI and we could hangout with each other up there. Thanks to corona canceling in person classes, we got to hang out all day every day and get to know each other super well! We enjoyed spending all our time together and knew it was meant to be!
We had talked about marriage pretty fast in our relationship since we had been spending all day together for weeks. We had gone ring shopping together as friends so Amy could know what kind of ring she wanted and then when things started getting more serious we went in search of the perfect ring. Bryson planned a cute picnic up in the mountains where we had carved our initials into a tree. It was the perfect plan, until the big rainstorm came in, the one day it actually rained in Rexburg! We had a picnic in the rain and then went on a walk down the little path to where we carved our initials into the tree. Bryson was going to propose to Amy at the tree, but she turned and kept walking down the path. He was so nervous as he got down on one knee and called out "Hey Amy". Amy turned around and was so surprised as Bryson asked her to marry him :)
We decided with corona going on and the uncertainty of everything that we wanted to move up our wedding date! We got civilly married on July 4th in Missouri, which was pretty awesome, marriage and fireworks, can't get much better than that. Most of our families were able to make it and it was a small simple ceremony that was perfect! Amy's dad got to marry us which was super special. We are still planning on getting sealed October 10, 2020 in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
