Braxton and Amy met like many other millennials, with a dating app. It started with simple messages via the app, Hinge, to learn more about each other. After several days of messaging, Amy made the move to ask for Braxton's number (he still wasn't sure), which he agreed to do. After realizing they wanted to meet for dinner, Braxton and Amy met at Pure Taqueria on November 30, 2018. They talked about their careers, families, goals and other topics, which led Braxton to begin thinking about a second date (he was sure, this time). They agreed to go on several more dates before mutually deciding they wanted to spend more time together and begin dating..
We have now fast forwarded a full year since the their first date, which has led to the day of the proposal. Braxton and Amy grew closer to each other while dating and both knew they were "the one" God had placed in each other's lives. Braxton had hand picked a ring, after little instruction as to what Amy wanted, so fingers were crossed that she loved it. Braxton teamed up with a close friend, Andrew, and his wife, Taylor, to execute a proposal that afternoon. After numerous messages, calls, etc. the plan was in place! The plan was to "meet" Andrew and Taylor for dinner in downtown Woodstock when they finished shopping. Andrew called Braxton to tell them where they were, so that they could meet. Meanwhile, Taylor was set up with a camera off in the distance to capture the moment! As they approached the area, Amy (the smart one) knew something wasn't right and started questioning what was going on. Eventually, Braxton got on one knee and asked Amy to marry him and spend the rest of their lives together! After a few cheers and claps from the crowd around, Amy said yes to the man of her dreams! They have shared many laughs and lots of love over the past year and they cannot wait to make more memories as Mr. and Mrs. Rainey! See you all on August 22, 2020!
