Alex and I met during the 2012 fall semester at Coastal Carolina University. We hit it off right away and had a great friendship our first few years that flourished into more! In 2014 I decided to stay and work in Myrtle Beach for the summer and I spent a lot of time hanging out with mutual friends of ours. Alex spent the summer convincing me to go on a date with him and making sure that our friends had some influence on it as well. A girl can only play hard to get for so long, and I finally caved! The rest of our Coastal careers consisted of watching Alex break record after record on the football field, working together at Dick's Last Resort, beaching it up with our best friends, and traveling up and down the east coast to visit our families. Shortly after I graduated in 2016, we moved back to Massachusetts -- if a Florida boy moving to Mass for his girl doesn't scream love, I don't know what does! While the two of us were not really sure what our futures held, we knew we had one another. Our first few years in the tundra tested our relationship a bit, but we are stronger and happier because of it! In May of 2019, in the midst of my nursing program, Alex scheduled a trip to Florida for us to "surprise" his mom for Mother's Day. Little did I know that his mom was in on it the entire time, as were both of our families, and the surprise was really for me. During the most breathtaking sunset in Sanibel Island, Alex got down on one knee and made me the happiest girl in the world! We thank each and every one of you for having a role in our lives, and we cannot wait to celebrate our love with you!!!
