We recommend booking your flight for August 1st, so you’ll arrive in Spain by August 2nd. This gives you time to settle in before the festivities begin! Plan to depart on August 8th or later, so you can fully enjoy the wedding day and have some time to relax (or explore!) before heading home.
The closest airport is Barcelona–El Prat (BCN), located about 45 km from Sant Andreu de Llavaneres. 🚆 Option 1: Train (recommended for local experience) From BCN Terminal 2, take the R2 Nord commuter train to Barcelona‑Sants (about 20 min, runs every ~30 min) At Sants, transfer to the R1 line toward Mataró, and ride to Sant Andreu de Llavaneres (about 52 min, trains ~every 20 min) - Total travel is around 1 hour 10 minutes, and tickets cost roughly €7–11. 🚎 Option 2: Direct Bus A daily Sagales bus runs from BCN T2C directly to the local train/bus station, taking around 1 hour 15 minutes, also about €7–10
Yes! You’ll need a valid passport to travel to Spain, and most airlines require that your passport is valid for at least 6 months beyond your return date. Please check your passport now to make sure it’s up to date—renewals can take several weeks. If you need to renew, we recommend starting as soon as possible to avoid any travel issues.
We’ve booked a private villa for everyone, so no need to worry about finding a hotel! Room assignments will be given closer to the wedding date. The villa is just a short distance from town, so you’ll have easy access to shops, cafés, and local spots during your stay.
Our wedding will be in early April in Barcelona, which usually means mild, spring weather—think highs in the 60s°F and cooler evenings. Since everything will be outdoors, we recommend bringing a light jacket, wrap, or shawl to stay comfortable once the sun goes down.
Other than the rehearsal dinner and the wedding day, there are no additional planned events. We really want you to enjoy this trip and make it your own! Feel free to explore the local beaches, restaurants, and sights at your own pace. We’ll share a few recommendations for things to do and places to eat, but the rest of the week is all about you having fun and making memories in Spain!
Comfortable shoes for cobblestone streets, a light jacket for cool evenings, a European power adapter, and your wedding outfits. Sunscreen and a swimsuit are great if you plan to enjoy the sun!
The ceremony and reception will be outdoors, so you’ll get to enjoy the beautiful views of Spain with us! Evenings can get a little chilly, so we recommend bringing a light jacket, shawl, or wrap to stay comfortable.
The dress code is formal (black tie optional). We’d love to see everyone dressed up for this special evening! For women: A long gown or an elegant midi dress with heels or dressy flats. For men: A tuxedo is great if you have one, but a dark suit and tie works perfectly too. Please avoid white, ivory, or anything that could look bridal. The celebration will be outdoors, so bring a wrap or jacket in case it gets chilly, and keep in mind there may be grass or cobblestones when choosing your shoes. Need ideas? Yes! We’ll have an open bar with wine, beer, and plenty of non-alcoholic options—perfect for toasting and celebrating all night long. 🍷🍻 Please note there will not be liquor or mixed drinks, so plan accordingly. Cheers!
Our ceremony will be unplugged—no phones, cameras, or videos, please. We want you to be fully present with us as we say “I do.” Don’t worry, we’ve hired an amazing photographer to capture every moment and we’ll share those photos after the wedding. Once the ceremony is over, feel free to take all the pictures you’d like at the reception! Thank you for understanding and helping us keep this moment intimate. It truly means the world to us!
