FAQs

Question

How do I book lodging?

Answer

We have that covered! We have already booked lodging for all guests at Quimby’s and Jackson Lodge. We will provide guests with their cabin assignments closer to wedding weekend. It’s all paid for! If you would rather book your own lodging elsewhere, please contact us ASAP.

Question

We’re staying in cabins? How rustic are we talking?

Answer

All cabins at Quimby’s and Jackson Lodge have electricity and bathrooms with hot water, soap, towels, and bedrooms with beds and bed linens. Each cabin has between one to four bedrooms, with no more than three (closely acquainted) guests to a room. There are fans (no AC), and each cabin has a wood stove and helpful instructions—it gets cold at night! Also important to note is there is no wifi in the cabins, only in the main lodge.

Question

What should I bring?

Answer

Warm clothes, including sweater, winter jacket, warm pants, gloves, hat, socks, and raincoat. Northern Vermont can get cold at night even in June, and we will be spending time outdoors! If you’re able, any outdoor equipment you’d like to use such as swim suit, bicycles, hiking gear, fishing gear, tennis racquets, etc. If you’re flying in and don’t have room in your suitcase, don’t worry as there will be plenty available. We will be providing alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks at all of our scheduled events, but if you have a favorite brew or bottle, feel free to bring it along for Friday events or the after party. Oh, and semi-formal attire for wedding day! Heads up, we would suggest against wearing heels since events will be outdoors on grass and gravel (block heels with straps if you must!) Towels, bedding and all food for the weekend will be provided.

Question

What are the logistics of staying at Jackson’s Lodge?

Answer

We were unable to accommodate our entire guest count in the cabins at Quimby’s. Jackson’s Lodge is a very similar resort located only 10 minutes away from Quimby’s. We are working on arranging transport between Jackson’s and Quimby’s for the Saturday events, so stay tuned! All guests are welcome to use Quimby Country facilities at any time over the weekend.

Question

Can I bring my dog?

Answer

Please talk with Matt and Amy ahead of time if you are thinking of bringing along your dog. While Quimby’s is dog-friendly, dogs must remain in or near your cabin during the Saturday ceremony and reception.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

We kindly ask that guests respond by February 15th. We know this is earlier than usual, and appreciate your understanding as we finalize plans with our vendors. If your plans change after you RSVP, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Question

***IMPORTANT***

Answer

There is no cell service at Quimby’s. Repeat, there is no cell service at Quimby’s. Please prepare—logistically, mentally, emotionally—for this. There is WiFi available in the main lodge but not in the cottages. Matt will be setting up StarLink or something similar if needed, so touch base with him if you absolutely need outside communication access (you’re in good hands). Otherwise, we are hoping that we can use this opportunity to focus on spending time together.
