1. On their first date, Conner and Amy first discovered that the other didn't like tomatoes when they each picked them off their food. They ordered the same meal and when Amy saw the tomatoes, she was planning to suffer through it to be polite, but then she saw that he was picking them off his plate. So she happily followed suit. They now often go to the same restaurant and order the same meal, but without tomatoes. 2. Before meeting Amy, Conner had very little experience with kids. But when Amy said she wanted to foster 100 kids, instead of running away, Conner started getting involved in Kids Ministry at church and became one of the best kid people Amy had ever seen. He's now raised the number of foster kids to 1,000. 3. Conner and Amy have never kissed! (Cue really awkward first kiss at wedding) 4. Conner and Amy met at church, and it was there that they spent a lot of their time getting to know each other. Conner even proposed at church 5. Conner and Amy were planning their wedding well before Conner had proposed. 6. Amy just wanted to be proposed to, and had little preference as to engagement rings. Conner made it seem like he was saving (at a very slow rate) to buy her an extravagant ring. The true reason of why he waited so long to propose is that he was making Amy’s ring by hand. 7. Amy’s engagement ring has 3 diamonds in a row. The outer two are smaller than the center diamond, and represent Conner and Amy. The center diamond, which is the largest, represents Christ. Amy’s ring is a representation of the way Conner and Amy strive to build their relationship: with Christ as the center.
