It was the summer of love in Philly when Kevin met Amy at the famous Smokey Joe's Cafe. They spent those months off from school dancing, listening to music, dropping notes in each other's mailboxes, eating wings, drinking beer, and forgetting they were supposed to be focusing on their internships. Kevin dug Amy's quick smile and up-for-anything attitude, and who knows what Amy found attractive in Kevin.

After college, distance separated Kevin and Amy, as Kevin migrated to Wisconsin and Amy landed in DC. But that couldn't hold them back for too long. The monthly flights to visit each other turned to bus trips as Amy decided to brave the Chicago winters to be closer to the person she hoped to marry one day -- a move Kevin is eternally grateful for. The two become KAmy when they got their first apartment together in DC in 2017. The most recent chapter has the engaged pair in Chicago while Amy attends business school with Kevin along for the ride. Where will they be after the wedding? Who knows. But they will be together, happily married, and that's all that matters.

In June 2020, Kevin and Amy spent a couple days out in Charlottesville on a farm AirBnb petting chickens and barn cats. They kayaked, sampled a winery, and snuggled in the bed of a truck while watching Charlie and the Chocolate Factory at a drive in movie theater, all while confirming they are even more in love than when they first met 8 years before. Back in DC, Kevin proposed to Amy on the steps of their row house apartment, then celebrated the engagement at a picnic with friends. P.S. Kevin's nerves got the best of him when he told the photographer the wrong date of the proposal, and the man with the camera had to sprint a mile to make it to the steps just in time.
