Amy and Garrett met at Baylor University when Amy asked her formal date to set one of her friends up with a guy. That guy was Garrett! Amy and Garrett hit it off, but it wasn't until six months later when she texted him that they began to get to know each other. Their first date was a walk in Cameron Park, and the rest is history.

After two years of dating, Garrett took Amy to the Dallas Arboretum for a purported wedding venue tour. They had lunch and walked around the grounds until they reached the spot Garrett had chosen months earlier. When he got on one knee and asked her to marry him, Amy said "REALLY? YES!"
