When should I RSVP by?

We kindly ask that you RSVP by Saturday, September 13th so we can finalize all the details and plan accordingly. We hope you can join us!

What should I wear?

Answer

We’re getting married in a charming old schoolhouse, and the vibe is romantic and a little vintage. Semi-formal or cocktail attire is a great reference point. Wear dresses of any length, jumpsuits, separates, slacks and a shirt - add a jacket or tie if you’d like but, but no pressure! We just want to celebrate with you. Come as you are, and don’t stress about what you’re wearing. Everything will be held indoors, but October temperatures in Virginia can be unpredictable; if it’s chilly, we’ll have a place to hang your jacket.

How do I get there & where do I park?

The wedding and after-party will be held at Lewis Ginter Recreation Association, NOT Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens! Be sure to put the correct address in your GPS when you're heading to the venue. LEWIS GINTER RECREATION ASSOCIATION 3421 Hawthorne Avenue Richmond, Virginia 23222 The venue is in a residential neighborhood with plentiful street parking. Please just be mindful of any no-parking signs and avoid blocking driveways. You’re also welcome to leave your car overnight and grab it the next day if you decide to take a Lyft home!

What time should I arrive

Answer

If you are a family member attending the private afternoon ceremony and dinner, please plan to arrive at 3:30 p.m. to find your seat and settle in. The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:00 p.m. If you are a friend attending the after party, please plan to arrive at 7:30 p.m., ready to celebrate and dance the night away!

Will food and drink be served?

Answer

We're having a small, private ceremony and dinner with close family earlier in the day. If you're joining us for the after-party, please NOTE: no food will be served - make sure you eat dinner before. Drinks are on us! We’ll have a bartender on-site serving up beer, wine, a signature cocktail, and non-alcoholic beverages.

Can I bring a date?

In order to stay within our budget and space limitations, we’re only able to accommodate the guests listed on your invitation. If you’re unsure, don’t hesitate to reach out and ask!

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we adore your little ones, we’re keeping the celebration adults-only so everyone can relax and be fully present. Thank you for understanding!

We’re lucky to already have everything we need for our home, and your presence is more than enough! If you’d like to honor us with a gift, we’d be so grateful for a contribution to our honeymoon fund.
