Quite, quaint, and full of life, downtown Stillwater has the small-town charm that we know our guests will love. Downtown Stillwater is very walkable, although slightly hilly, and is packed with fun restaurants and cute family owned shops. We highly recommend grabbing a bite at Stillwater Proper which has true farm to table dining, it's absolutely delicious. The bustling businesses have something for everyone, clothing, candy stores, candle makers, photography, homemade spice and herb shops, hand crafted wooden art, and jewelry. The St. Croix River cuts right through downtown Stillwater, creating a wonderful waterside walkway. If you're really craving adventure, you can walk across the lift bridge into Wisconsin! Downtown Stillwater is around 30 minutes from our venue and Running Aces Hotel.
Minnehaha Falls within Minnehaha Regional Park is an urban waterfall landscape, surrounded by native Minnesota trees, flowers, and wildlife. The park is quite large, has tons of walking trails, and is a perfect place to get a taste of Minnesota's beautiful landscape. In August, Minnehaha Falls will be brimming with excitement. When visiting, you'll see joggers, families with strollers, nature photographers, and couples hiking the trails to get a clean breath of fresh air and to soak in the Minnesota sunlight.
