Although Mason and I went to college together for two and a half years, we didn't know the other existed; Mason being the party animal he is and Jordan being the home-body she is (or maybe it was the other way around). We met on a friend's 21st birthday party bus right before Mason began student teaching at Midland. It was an ugly Christmas sweater themed party bus, and Mason was most definitely wearing the ugliest sweater on the bus; a Dallas Cowboys sweater. To know what happened next, you'll have to find out at our reception! We can't wait to celebrate this next chapter of our lives with you!
On Thanksgiving Day we planned on spending some time with both of our families. We had been in Fremont for a few days and spent Thanksgiving morning and afternoon with Mason's family. Then we drove down to Sterling to spend the evening and the next few days with my family. When we got to Sterling, Mason wasn't watching the Cowboys game and was MIA; weird huh? Per tradition, my dad and I break the wishbone and Mason appeared out of nowhere for that. This year was a little different when my dad pulled two wishbones out and told me that Mason and I could break the extra wishbone. So I didn't cheat, my dad covered our wishbone and when they pulled the cover off, Mason was on one knee. Of course, I didn't even give Mason the chance to speak and I just yelled "YES!" Mason also surprised me with tickets to Iowa vs. Nebraksa football game in Iowa City the next day, so we were off hours later; ENGAGED!!
