Pete and Emilie met in March of 2021 after she came across his profile on a dating app and was instantly drawn to his beautiful smile and creative, silly photos. They only lived 30 minutes apart and began talking and texting constantly. Their first date was at a small bar called Quiet Pint in Winston-Salem where they connected instantly. They talked for hours until they were the only two left and had to leave because the bar was closing. After discussing their careers and future goals, Emilie learned that Pete was an aspiring Chef working in a local Greensboro restaurant, and she knew it was meant to be. Emilie had worked at the Country Club in Winston-Salem for years as a banquet manager and had come to know the industry well. She knew Pete was not happy at his then-job, so she talked to the Executive Chef she worked closely with, and before they both knew it, they were working alongside one another every day, and watching fireworks together in their uniforms on July 4th. About two years later in the beautiful Smoky Mountains of Sevierville, Tennessee, Pete dropped down to one knee and proposed.
