We first met in summer 2021 when Vinesh was visiting his family in Brooklyn. There was an instant spark, but nothing came of it right away. It wasn’t until 2022, with a little encouragement (read: pressure) from his family, that Vinesh finally texted Amrita. One message turned into a conversation, and before we knew it, Vinesh visited Amrita in Brooklyn shortly after she got LASIK. Despite the timing, he showed up, helped her recover, and made her laugh through the blurriness. That weekend sealed the deal. We braved bi-coastal long distance for a year, fueled by red-eye flights and countless FaceTimes. In 2024, Vinesh made the move to the East Coast, and we began our next chapter together under one roof. In March 2025, we got engaged in Brooklyn, and we can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter with all of you!
