Brittany and Drew met one random night at a favorite bar in Downtown Fullerton. Drew was wrapped in conversation with friends but at the sight of Brittany quickly dropped everything to introduce himself. The two exchanged numbers and within days were on their first date. It was a fun and slightly embarrassing night as they got to know each other over messy doughnuts stuffed with ice cream. The immediate connection during those initial nights couldn't be denied between the two. It's that spark that has kept them together over the last 7 years.
Drew's POV: Months and months of preparation went into planning my proposal. I thought Brittany was on to me as I was constantly walking outside my apartment door to take calls from vendors and family, something I never do. From asking her parents, to buying the ring, hiring a photographer, and decorating the beach front, I was a nervous wreck. The day finally came and my master plan was to tell Brittany that we were going on a road trip, with Malibu being the first stop for food. I completely thought she was on to me as my mind couldn't help but repeat the speech I had planned for her in my head. 3:15 PM hits. My que to walk her down to the beach to the waiting arrangement of flowers and balloons. Still not understanding what was happening, Brittany commented on how cute everything was thinking it was meant for someone else. To her surprise everything was meant for her as I dropped to one knee and asked her to be my wife. The best YES of my life was quickly met with cheers from family as they came out of hiding to celebrate the moment. Brittany's POV: It was early December when Drew had planned a surprise weekend getaway, which I thought was just an early Christmas present . He kept where we were headed a secret but told me we needed to be in Malibu at 3:30. He made it sound like it was just the first stop on where we were headed so I thought maybe we had a late lunch reservation. He took me down to the beach and while walking along the water when we came up on a blanket, balloons, and a picnic basket. I thought 'how cute, I wonder who did that' . When he told me is was for us I thought 'wow this is such a sweet gift', next thing I knew he was down on one knee asking me to marry him. It was the easiest YES I've ever said.
