Some things are meant to be and good things come to those who wait. Danielle was actually going through a really rough time. Her father was in the Hospital now for close to 5 months and the prognosis wasn't good. Danielle received the recommendation from a friend to download Hinge and maybe meet someone. So she did. So, listed on her profile was a picture of a trail she barely hiked in San Diego that happened to be the same name of a trail in Vietnam. Alex was immediately smitten by her adventurous spirit (thinking it was Vietnam) and started up a conversation. Turns out it was not Vietnam but he decided to ask Danielle on a date anyway...which she tried to back out of (not because she didn't like Alex but she felt guilty being emotionally elsewhere). Danielle was pressured into going on the date by another friend so she did. Danielle uber'd to Beach house in Deerfield and waited for Alex and when he arrived they took the elevator up 1 floor (Alex took this as a red flag) and they sat down and started talking about their lives, work, travel, Danielle's current situation with her Dad...and sports! Somehow, someway 2 Jets fans found each other. They ended up sitting on the sand til 2am talking like best friends. Alex taught Danielle how to say "sand" in Italian since she carried some back into his car after he offered to drive her home, like the true gentleman that he is. After a hug goodbye and plans to see each other again they quickly found themselves falling for each other. Alex became a huge sense of support for Danielle when her father ultimately passed on July 4, 2019 and that is when she knew. She knew she would marry Alex and that he was her person, he saw her at her worst and uplifted her and made her feel her best. Now fast forward a couple of years, and a fur baby later here we are. Celebrating the love of Alex and Danielle.
