Aquarium of the Pacific
This aquarium is one of the most-attended in the nation. It displays about 12,000 animals in more than 100 exhibits that represent the diversity of the Pacific Ocean.
Point Vicente light house
Standing on the most southwesterly point of the Palos Verdes Peninsula, Point Vicente Lighthouse has long been one of this area's jewels. To the landsman, the lighthouse is scenic delight and continual attraction to sightseers, tourists, photographers and painters. To the mariner, the lighthouse is an aid to navigation which marks the northern end of the Catalina Channel on the Pacific coast.
Hermosa Beach Pier
Hermosa Beach has almost 2 miles of ocean frontage with 94 acres of public beach and is one of the most popular beaches in Los Angeles County due to the excellent surf, restaurants, good swimming areas, and the various volleyball nets along the sand.
Terranea Resort
When you arrive at Terranea Resort, you’re greeted with a glass of bubbly and jaw-dropping views of the Pacific. A point of distinction for Terranea is its thoughtful culinary program. An on-site garden supplies much of the produce for its eight restaurants, including the resort’s signature eatery mar’sel, and honey from its four nearby beehives is used in pastries, candies, and salad dressings.
