Question

Will it be cold inside the venue?

Answer

The event is indoors, but Mexico City evenings can feel cool—bringing a wrap or jacket is a good idea.

Question

Is it safe to travel in Mexico City?

Answer

Mexico City is a major international city, and many visitors travel here safely every day. Like any large city, we recommend using common sense—stick to well-traveled areas, use Uber/taxis at night, keep valuables secure, and avoid walking alone late at night. Our venue and hotel are in well-known areas, and we’ll share any additional tips as the weekend gets closer.

Question

Should I drink the tap water?

Answer

We recommend sticking to bottled or filtered water during your stay — including for brushing your teeth. Most hotels (including the Four Seasons) provide bottled water daily, and it’s easy to find everywhere.

Question

Is it safe to eat street food?

Answer

Street food is one of the best parts of Mexico City! That said, it’s best to use common sense — choose busy vendors with high turnover, start slowly if you’re not used to it, and avoid anything that looks like it’s been sitting out for a long time. If you have a sensitive stomach, you may want to stick to restaurants or well-known spots.

Question

Is it safe to wear jewelry or watches?

Answer

For our wedding events on Friday and Saturday, feel free to wear your favourite pieces — it’s the perfect occasion to dress up and enjoy them. For exploring the city during the day, we recommend opting for more low-key accessories and leaving high-value items at the hotel.

Question

How should I get around the city?

Answer

We strongly recommend using Uber to get around Mexico City. It’s safe, reliable, and widely used. While taxis are available, some visitors have encountered scams where drivers charge in U.S. dollars instead of pesos without making it clear—especially when paying by card. To avoid any confusion or issues, we suggest sticking with Uber for all your rides.
