This dream wedding would not be possible without the generosity of our parents - Kathleen Jennett, Lon Johnson, Lisa Garcia, and Hector Garcia. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We are excited to start our lives together and to merge our two legendary families into one.
The time - Summer 2010, the place - UCLA Sunset Req. Andrew was killing two birds with one stone: swimming to get ripped, and to get tan. He had recently done a photoshoot for UCLA's clothing line and needed to keep up his image. He had made plans to see Ashley Cartwright afterwards and she brought a friend along - it was love at first sight! Just kidding, Amie thought Andrew was a bit full of himself since he was talking about his trips to Israel and Spain. Fortunately, Amie did think he was super hot (see, the swimming/tanning paid off). Off they went, not to see each other again for several weeks, until Fall quarter. After meeting a second time, Amie decided Andrew was the man for her and was on the attack! Amie & Andrew started dating in Winter quarter.
Just like everything else in their relationship, Amie and Andrew's engagement was a joint decision. Once they knew they both wanted to spend the rest of their lives together, Andrew started A/B testing rings. Diamond? No. Silver? Hard no. Gemstone? Yes! Andrew said, "I want to get something as unique as you!" and Amie responded by saying "You're right, I AM unique!" Andrew picked out the ring and brought Amie to the jeweler to make sure it was perfect. Turns out is was the ring of Amie's dreams after she upgraded the Sapphire from "large" to what she coined "tastefully massive."
