Jonathan kept me on my toes, to say the least! A few weeks before the big night, we took a trip to New York City, and I was certain he was going to propose. But nope—Jonathan fooled me! (LOL). The next weekend, he surprised me by flying my best friend all the way from Atlanta to Los Angeles. At that point, I just knew this was it. And yet again... Jonathan fooled me! (Seriously, he’s good at this). Then, the following weekend, Jonathan planned a dinner with our friends in Los Angeles. I was so excited to go out and spend quality time with our loved ones. The night felt magical, but I still had no clue what was coming. As the evening went on, Jonathan made his way around the table, sharing heartfelt words of gratitude with each of our friends. I thought, How sweet, but this is just who he is—kind and thoughtful. Then, he turned to me. He said a few words, stood up, pulled out a little box, and dropped to one knee. I was completely caught off guard as he asked me to marry him. It was the most beautiful surprise and a night we will never forget.
