Carson and I met the day after Christmas in 2020. Carson's uncle, Steve, was making sweet tea chicken, and the Ames family was invited over for dinner. Little did I know, everyone knew that we were being set up by Uncle Steve except, of course, me. Carson and I got together the following spring!

Carson and I got engaged New Year's Eve at Uncle Steve's house. Carson always wanted it to be a random evening and for me to be surprised. Because I decided our plans for the evening, I was completely shocked and elated by the proposal! Carson got down on one knee and said "Do you want to do this?"

My dad is best friends with Carson's uncle, Steve (hence the setup). My mom went to the University of South Florida with Carson's dad; he was her sorority's DJ. My dad went to Stetson University with Carson's mom. So, enjoy this photo of baby Carson and Elizabeth circa 2006 :)
