It's all happening!

We met when we began working at Cyclebar, Novato. Amelie was a Cyclestar instructor and Philip worked at the front desk. It took several years of friendship and flirtation before we went on our first date, prompted by another coworker (shout out to the matchmaking skills of Samara!). One date led to another ...

I was visiting my sister in Baltimore, Maryland, while Phil was "working" his nursing job in CA. After a cancelled then delayed flight, he arrived at BWI about 10 pm, rushed to the apartment where I was, climbed a fire escape to the rooftop of a friend's neighbor, and waited. I was at a dinner party then was told there were fireworks happening on the rooftop, and that I "had to hurry." Confused why fireworks would occur at 10:30 pm rather than midnight to ring in the New Year, I slowly made my way to the rooftop to find Phil there with roses. After the initial shock of him being 2,400 miles closer, he proposed and I said YES! We rang in the New Year of 2020 together :)
