Caribbean Formal We kindly request elegant, formal attire with a refined island touch. Suits with ties are appropriate for gentlemen. Formal, light, breathable fabrics and elevated tropical tones are welcomed for ladies.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Late May in St. Croix is typically warm, sunny, and tropical. You can expect daytime temperatures in the mid-80s and evenings in the mid-70s, often with a light island breeze. Short, passing showers are possible, but they usually move through quickly. We recommend light, breathable clothing, sunscreen, and staying hydrated so you can fully enjoy the Caribbean sunshine.

Do I need a passport?

Answer

St. Croix is part of the U.S. Virgin Islands, so U.S. citizens do not need a passport.

Question

How do I get around the island?

Answer

St. Croix is best explored by car, and most guests choose to rent a vehicle during their stay. Taxis are also available on the island, though they may be limited at certain times or locations. The King Christian Hotel is located in Christiansted, and Castle St. Croix is approximately 20 minutes away by car. Please note that drivers in St. Croix drive on the left side of the road, even though most cars have left-hand steering wheels. If you’re interested in sharing a rental car with other guests, feel free to let us know. We’re happy to help connect people so you can coordinate transportation. We recommend planning ahead so you can relax and enjoy the island at your own pace.

Question

While stateside “hi” or “hello” are our commonplace greetings (on the seemingly rare occasion when someone bothers to make eye contact with you), here on St. Croix you say “good morning”, “good afternoon” or “goodnight” to EVERYONE.
