We met while attending West Virginia University for our undergraduate degrees, and the first time we hung out was in the Creative Arts Center lobby eating lunch from Bits and Bites. At the time we were both dating other people....but we became friends as soon as Wes told Amy he had Jump Then Fall by Taylor Swift on his phone. Over the next year we became good friends and both of our previous relationships ended. We started spending time together constantly and to no one's surprise officially started dating in August of 2016.

Wes flew to Australia in June of 2019 to join Amy and her family on an Australian adventure! He got down on one knee after we all hiked down to see Wallaman falls and the gorgeous double rainbow at the bottom. It was a magical moment that was captured by Emily's quick photography skills!
