We have my best friend to thank for this! Jessica Guercio is the true cupid and met Rich when her husband David joined the Babylon Fire Department. Jessica did everything in her power to get us to meet. The biggest obstacle was that we were islands apart- him on Long Island, me on Staten Island. Jessica was not giving up though and in March we finally went on a date. After that we traveled back and forth from Long Island to Staten Island as much as we both could and the rest is history! So thank you Jessica and David.

The proposal was everything I ever wished for. We were surrounded by our family and friends which was important for both of us. We wanted everyone there to see and witness the moment and celebrate in our love and excitement. Everything from the beach, to the sunset, to the weather to the small little details was absolutely perfect. The story behind it was the word KISMET. This word means meant to be which we had discovered a few months prior so Kismet, Fire Island was of course the BEST proposal spot because we felt that falling for each other, meeting when we did and finding each other from “Islands” away really was KISMET.
