We can't wait to celebrate with you!

Phil sat nervously at the window table at Charcoal Guido’s in Waltham waiting for Amelia to arrive for their first date. When Amelia finally showed up (20 minutes late and after putting money in the parking meter even though it was after 6pm) they enjoyed a dinner of chicken parm followed by an ice cream at Lizzy's across the street. After several more dates, and a surprise visit to meet Phil's parents one night after dinner (did you know Amelia and Phil's mom have the same birthday?!) they became inseparable. When Amelia moved to Chicago for school in 2015, Phil followed and ended up landing his dream job of becoming a police officer in Detroit. After several years apart they both ended up back in Massachusetts as Amelia finished up her last clinical rotation. Then COVID hit and Amelia's last few months of school went virtual. One Friday in March, Amelia, wearing a bathrobe with cats on it and still wearing her glasses, sat down on the couch with a plate full of scones ready to dig in. Just as she was about to grab a big scone and bite in, Phil started looking nervous and slowly got down on one knee and asked Amelia to be his wife. Of course Amelia said yes! Thanks to FaceTime and Zoom we were able to share the happy news with all our families. We can't wait to celebrate with all of you soon, until then wear your masks and stay safe!
