Welcome Drinks: cocktail attire and it's Austin after all so Cowboy Boots are welcome! Ceremony and Reception: Black Tie Optional attire. For women - typically a floor-length gown or formal cocktail dress. For men - A well-fitted tuxedo or suit.
There is a 45 minute gap between the ceremony and the reception. Since the reception is north of downtown in Round Rock, we recommend guests hop on the provided transportation after the ceremony to head straight to the reception to enjoy cocktail hour that begins at 5:30 pm.

Yes! There will be transportation from the Cathedral to the reception at Woodbine Mansion. Transportation will also be provided after the reception and will drop off at the hotel blocks.
While we adore all of the children in our lives, our wedding reception will be an adults-only affair. We hope that our wedding will provide an opportunity for our guests to relax and take a night off from parenting duties - thank you for understanding.
For the ceremony at St. Mary's Cathedral, there are metered parking spots around the venue, you can park on the street or in the Capital parking garage on San Jacinto. If you choose to park in the garage, you can validate your parking ticket at the Donahue Center Gym. Entrance to the Donohue Center is on elevator floor #2. For the reception, there is very limited parking spots at Woodbine Mansion for wedding guests or you can park on Main Street. We recommend taking the provided transportation or taking an Uber/Lyft that will drop you off at the front of the venue.
It is up to you, but we don't think it's necessary if you don't want to. Most of the wedding festivities take place in Downtown Austin and there is transportation for people to get to the reception in Round Rock. Most spots are a quick walk, or Uber/Lyft away from the hotels.
