Drive the Old Canyon Road between Ellensburg and Yakima. Hwy 821 is a beautiful scenic drive along the Yakima River. Make a stop a Umtanum Creek Recreation Area for a walk across the suspension bridge or a little hike. Then get back in the car and keep driving to Reds Fly Shop, where you can learn to fly fish or just have a nice lunch at the Canyon River Grill.
