Justin and Amelia met while attending a church small group in Sioux Falls in the spring of 2019. One night after small group they were talking as they were walking out, and then Justin got distracted talking to one of the group leaders, and Amelia decided to head back home. The next day Justin messaged Amelia, apologizing for getting distracted mid conversation and asked if she would like to get coffee. From there we began to spend more time talking and getting to know each other. After a couple weeks Justin asked Amelia to be his girlfriend and it's been a crazy journey since!

June of 2021 we were in the Black Hills with family. After spending the day exploring, all Amelia wanted to do was lay down and rest, mean while Justin had this surpise and wanted to go out back to the deck. After some convincing Amelia finally agreed. While standing there talking about the future and enjoying the views, Justin turned to Amelia and asked if she wanted to get married and dropped to his knee while the family (who knew all along what was happening) was inside the cabin waiting to celebrate with us. Of course Amelia said yes, and we can't wait to celebrate our marriage and wedding day with everyone!!
