FAQs

The Wedding Website of Amelia Ruth Tanner and Jeremy Stephen George
Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

The dress code is Mountain Formal. We want you to be comfortable and stylish! We recommend a suit for the gentlemen and a midi or maxi dress for the ladies. Our ceremony and reception will be outdoors at 10,000 feet. Block heels or flats will be your best bet, since the terrain at the ranch includes grass and gravel. Telluride temperatures drop quickly after sunset (it can easily drop to the low 50s), so we highly recommend bringing a jacket!

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by May 15th

Question

How do I get to the ceremony and where do I park?

Answer

Because space is limited at Upper Schmid Ranch, parking is strictly limited to guests with kids or those needing special accommodations (Amelia and Jeremy will reach out directly if this applies to you!). For everyone else, we will provide shuttles to the ceremony. Shuttles depart from the Carhenge Parking Lot in Telluride starting at 2:30 PM. Head to the east side of the lot near the Telluride Mountainside Inn. Look for the TelluRides guide holding a sign for our wedding. Shuttles will start running back to Telluride around 9:30 pm with the last shuttle departing around 10:30 pm. A heads-up for those invited to drive: Please budget 45 minutes for the scenic drive from Telluride. The last two miles are on primitive mountain roads and take about 30 minutes to navigate on their own. To comfortably make the trip, we highly suggest driving an SUV or crossover with good clearance.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes! This will be a family-friendly event. We will have some special surprises for the kids!

Question

I have a food allergy. Will I be able to eat dinner?

Answer

The vast majority of our dinner menu is naturally gluten-free and dairy-free, and everything with potential allergens will be clearly labeled.

Question

Will there be cell service at the venue?

Answer

The ranch is pretty remote, so standard cell service is spotty at best. We'll have Starlink Wi-Fi set up so you can still share photos and get messages!

Question

When will the reception end?

Answer

The reception will wrap up by 10:30 pm. Shuttles will begin returning to Telluride around 9:00 pm, with the final shuttle departing around 10:45 pm.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Your RSVP will show who is included in your invitation. If you have any questions, please contact Amelia at 512-630-1450.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

In addition to the hotels listed in our room block, we highly recommend checking out Airbnb or Vrbo! Telluride is pretty spread out, and getting a house or condo rental is often a better deal than the local hotels. We also recommend checking out local vacation rental and property management companies, since they often have options that are not available on Airbnb or Vrbo. Here are a few of larger vacation rental companies in the Telluride area: Alpine Lodging Telluride: www.telluridelodging.com Exceptional Stays: www.exceptionalstays.com Accommodations in Telluride: www.vacationtelluride.com

Question

Any recommendations for camping?

Answer

If you're looking to camp during our wedding or extend your trip out to Telluride into a camping vacation, we recommend Ridgway State Park (https://cpw.state.co.us/state-parks/ridgway-state-park/ridgway-state-park-camping-lodging). If you would like more suggestions, contact Amelia (512-630-1450) for Telluride-area campground details.
