Our Story

Love at first sight and a college romance

We met as strangers at The Well's Super Bowl Party on February 9th, 2025, where we ended up talking for hours about just about anything you can think of, and left both knowing we had met the one. It turns out that love at first sight doesn't only exist in fairytales... a day later, we had our first date scheduled at Cafe Lola in Johnson City... and a week after that, we were official and simply attached at the hip. Many, many late nights, lunch dates between classes, Sunday morning church services, visits with family, and road trips later, we knew that marriage was the obvious next step (especially wanting to spend every moment of our lives together, and wanting to start as soon as possible). Daniel proposed two days after a year from our first date on February 14th, 2026, at Bays Mountain Park in Johnson City. Valentine's Day will always hold a special place in our hearts since we got to experience the start of our relationship at the most romantic time of the year. We cannot wait to get married, and it is so exciting for us to be able to start our lives together and celebrate with all of our loved ones. Every bit of love and generosity will always be greatly appreciated <3 Daniel graduated with his Bachelor's Degree in Physics from ETSU in the Fall of 2025, and Amelia is expected to graduate from ETSU with her Bachelor's Degree in Media and Communication in the Fall of 2026. We plan to move to Knoxville within the coming year, before we get married, live there for the start of our careers, and move in together after our wedding. The transition from college to adulthood is a little surreal and nerve-racking, but we are so excited to get to spend this time together! We are so grateful for any support: financial, emotional, or physical; we love our chosen and blood families, and we are truly excited to throw a great party to celebrate the start of our marriage!
