Maid of Honor
Jess and Amelia were assigned rooms diagonally from one-another during their freshmen year at Skidmore College. They met during the first week of orientation. By the end of the first week, their roommates wanted to be roommates and Amelia was evicted from her room. The best part was, Jess and Amelia became best friends. While our original roommates may still not be speaking we have been together for 15 years!
Gentleman of Honor
James is Amelia's older brother. Sandwiched between Amelia and their older sister they grew up together. It wasn't always pretty, but Amelia always wanted to be just like James. James inspired Amelia's love of games and movies because they were competitive over the family card games and he taught her about video games. James is a personal trainer in Kennett Square, PA and continues to be the funniest family member. He can keep everyone laughing and he recently married his wonderful wife, Chelsea. Giving Amelia another sister!
Matron of Honor
Elizabeth is Amelia's older sister. She taught Amelia about make-up and chewing with her mouth closed. She was always the cool big sister who did everything that Amelia wanted to do. She also had the best toys and Amelia would sneak into her room as a child and play with her dollhouse. She has been living in Switzerland for the past three years and Amelia would always fly through on her way home from business trips to spend time with Elizabeth and her family.
Flower Girl
Isabel is Amelia's niece who will be four years old by the wedding day. She is a big sister to the other flower girl Emmy and is a wonderful horseback rider, singer and dancer. She loves Paw Patrol and has a wonderful imagination. She and Aunt Amelia like to dance singing Disney songs while Aunt Amelia twirls Isabel so she flies.
Flower Girl
Emmeline will be almost 2 years old at her Aunt Amelia and Uncle Chuck's wedding. She loves a good game of Peek-A-Boo and she has the best laugh. She likes to fly and draw and she likes to hang out with her big sister Isabel.
Ring Bear
Aslan is Chuck and Amelia's fur baby. He joined their lives in July 2018 and they have been learning how to raise him. He is the center of their lives as they house broke him and taught him all of his tricks. He keeps them entertained with his constant need to receive an ice cube from the freezer. He loves to snuggle his parents in the morning and play with his other furry friends.
Best Man
Adam and Chuck first met on the ultimate frisbee field between practices in 2010, but became friends because Adam was part of a group of friends who went to BCC High School, and that group (thanks, Matt, Laura, and Josh!) took Chuck in when he was new to the DC area (but if anyone asks, Chuck totally had Mr. Orlando as a calculus teacher). As a result, Adam and Chuck were also roommates for several years, at the Waterford (with Kenny) and the Lair (Villains 4 Lyfe), sharing their mutual love of baseball, board games, frisbee, banging each other every time they meet, and doing villainous things like hiding Smirnoff Ices.
Groomsman
Halfway through his fourth year of college, Chuck drew Steven as one of his apartment mates. On their first night as roommates, Steven won $2 from Chuck by betting him a dollar that you could, in fact, pour three 12-oz beers into a frisbee, and then double or nothing that you could pour a fourth one. Future dollar bets included whether Steven could throw a crumpled paper ball between the blades of a moving ceiling fan (he couldn't), who could make the better paper airplane (Chuck won), and whether you could make Jell-O in a toilet (undetermined, as since then, Chuck has not lived with anyone willing to risk their toilet for science). Steven has also introduced Chuck to joys in life including Portal, Carcassonne as a drinking game, and the glaze waterfall at Krispy Kreme. And Bucket.
Best Lady
Sarah is Chuck's sister. He's known her for literally all her life. As kids, they played kickball and hockey in the basement of their parents' house in Minnesota (much to their parents' chagrin) and fought over the internet connection back in the days when you could only have one computer online at a time. While Sarah was out with friends on Friday nights, Chuck attended the local chess club, but they still shared swim team and piano, and made one hell of a team in neighborhood football games, and later, sibling beer pong tournaments. After some time apart while Sarah was in college, they reunited when Sarah moved to the DC area. Chuck was happier about this than he will probably admit.
Mother of the Bride
Terry is Amelia's mom. She is Amelia's best friend through good times and hard. She loves to travel and make custom quilts with Amelia's dad. She taught Amelia how to cook and the importance of home-made meals and eating as a family. She helps inspire Amelia's imagination and sense of humor. She taught Amelia to keep on laughing. You might want to ask to see her quilts because they are an incredible work of art!
Father of the Bride
Lew is Amelia's dad. He gave her her love of animals and would spend countless hours at the zoo and natural history museum with her as a child. He taught her how to raise dogs and to be patient. Some of Amelia's favorite memories as a child were sitting on a stool in the kitchen helping her dad make his famous apple pie. Lew and Terry encourage Amelia to chase her dreams and live her life to its fullest. If you enjoy the wine at the reception, compliments go to Lew, because he made it!
Father of the Groom
Bing is Chuck's dad. Chuck's dad took him to the pool at the University of Iowa to teach him to swim, usually beat Chuck at H-O-R-S-E (except they called it W-I-M-P-Y after Chuck taught him that term) just by shooting from the foul line (resulting in Chuck being a pretty solid foul shooter, despite being a decidedly bad basketball player), and frequently acted as a sparring partner for Chuck after he learned to play chess. He passed his eclecticism and love for cooking and good food onto Chuck.
Mother of the Groom
Vivian is Chuck's mom. She spent most of Chuck and Sarah's youth shuttling them between school, piano lessons, swim team, and various other activities. After they both graduated college, Viv decided to do her own thing and start running marathons, traveling the world, and using emojis in text messages, much to the amazement of the kids (yet she still won't get her own cat, preferring instead to enjoy the company of Izzy and Berlin).
