Preparing for Travel to Egypt

For our guests coming from... USA, UK & Canada: US, British & Canadian citizens obtain visa on arrival at Cairo Int'l. Airport for ~ $25 USD per person. Before passport control, there will be a window to your right that says "Visas" on it, right next to Al-Ahly Bank. UAE & Other: Please double check online to see whether your nationality requires a pre-arrival visa. Phone usage: Be sure to buy an international pass from your provider, and download WhatsApp - easiest way to make calls! You can also grab a sim card from the provider near baggage claim if you prefer.

Getting Around Cairo

The easiest way to get around Cairo is using rideshare apps. We don't recommend renting a car or driving, the traffic gets a little crazy. Uber - works great if you're using your card. inDrive - works if you are using cash (you can decide the price you want to pay for the trip on the app).

Travel Note

Traveling to North Egypt

If you are thinking about traveling up to Alexandria or any of the northern cities (for the beaches and resorts), the easiest way is by train, from Ramsis Station. If you prefer a private car service, reach out to us and we will get you in touch with them.
