As most modern relationships go, Amee and Michael met on Hinge (online dating app). Michael made the first move messaging Amee about her snorkeling experience in Bali while he explained his jellyfish infested experience in Key West. The next day he proposed. Just kidding. They had their first date at Gaja, a Korean restaurant in Atlanta. Michael offered to pick Amee up for the date and didn't expect her to say yes but she did. So for the first date in the most Atlanta way possible, Michael and Amee sat in traffic for about 30 minutes together on the way to their first date. Since the first date, things were going very well. On a nice Wednesday evening, Michael and Amee ended up going out to dinner and looking for a place to hangout afterwards. They stumbled into The Establishment in Midtown Atlanta. As the night went on, Michael had already decided that he wanted to ask Amee to be his girlfriend so it was in the spur of the moment that he asked. They were in the corner booth across from a small two piece band that was just a little too loud and he asked. It was Amee's easiest "Yes."

A dog was always in the plans. Once these two dog lovers became established, it was only a matter of time before they found the right furry addition to their growing family. They knew that the Atlanta Humane Society was where they wanted to adopt from so they started putting in a lot of inquires. As you all know, the pandemic made getting a dog very competitive. So you had to apply for multiple pups and hope to get lucky. Well on July 26th they got lucky. Michael had applied for Roscoe when he popped up on his email earlier that week. The Humane Society called him in the middle of the day asking if they wanted to meet Roscoe via Zoom and come get him if they liked him. So the next day they met and it was official. #ThenThereWereThree

The time had finally come for Michael to pop the big question. "Do you want to get Jeni's ice cream?" Kidding again. More importantly the real question. "Will you marry me?" Michael wanted to make sure that a few things happened during the proposal. 1. Roscoe had to be there 2. Amee's nails had to be done 3. It had to be a surprise. So he got to planning with friends and family. What better place to ask than at The Establishment? Before the restaurant opened, Michael, Roscoe and Doug (the photographer) waited for Amee to be brought in by surprise.
