We go way back.....

Jordan and I were each others go to 'person' no matter what. Sheep, basketball, or life, we knew everything about each other. The 7 years before we even thought about each other from a dating perspective, we never went a day without talking on the phone, and sharing how our day went. It was my junior year in college at Oklahoma State that our everyday talking on the phone turned into Face timing until 3:30 a.m., the everyday talks turned into Good Morning text messages, that turned into deep conversation about the future. When this started, I'm not sure each of us knew what to think...but all we knew is that it felt SO RIGHT. We hadn't seen each other in awhile and both were dying to see one another, so I pulled an all nighter and drove up from Oklahoma after judging practice. We met up at the Mid West Elite sheep sale. It's still my favorite memory to this day....but after that weekend we both knew this was a forever thing. I've always preached 'everything happens for a reason' and that 'God's timing is perfect' and those sayings couldn't hold more truth when it comes to explaining our relationship. I give ALL THE GLORY to God who allowed our friendship to grow into a un denying, pure, and true LOVE.

How He Asked...

My sweet friend Cece Utendorf came down one weekend in the summer of 2017. I had recently moved to Kentucky and she wanted to come hang out! So of course I was soon excited to get some much needed time with my BFF. I WAS CLUELESS! When Cece arrived I said hey lets go to Mexican (who can turn down chips and margaritas!?) off to Mexican we go....and then Jordan calls... and ask if he can join us for dinner. The more the merrier! We walk into the restaurant and there was Sam and Teresa (Jordans Parents) and so we pulled up a chair by them! When Jordan arrived Sam made the comment "you should've told us you were coming here..we would've gone somewhere else" hmmmmmm.... I thought that was strange! Little to my knowledge Sam knew what was in store and didn't want his anxiousness to give it away! haha That night Cece and I went to the movies. We woke up the next morning and started getting ready for our girls day! Cece started to point out what I should wear....hmmmm! but I went with it and didn't think anything of it lol. We went and grabbed brunch at Wild Eggs, went shopping, and had to be at the winery at 3:30 because Cece said that's when the concert started. We arrive at Talon Winery and started sampling all the wine. We each got a glass of our favorite and she said "Lets go for a walk". There was a walkway through the vineyards with a bench at the top, Cece sat on one bench, I sat on another... QUE THE NERVES! Off in the distance I saw a photographer taking pictures of a wedding that was scheduled for that evening. But in the blink of an eye their cameras were turned on me saying YES! Jordan had came up behind me and asked for my hand in marriage. Then SURPRISE, James was hiding in the vines too! My family was waiting for me at Malones to have a celebratory dinner! This will always be one of my favorite days!!

Someone recently asked me "What is it about Jordan?"

While on vacation in Aruba, a bunch of friends were all sitting at a table eating dinner having a great time. Then one of them turns to me and out loud says "what is it about Jordan" "why Jordan" Instantly.... all eyes were on me, waiting to give an answer. It's hard to sum up everything you love about a person and why you want to spend your life with them, especially outloud infront of a crowd. I looked across at Jordan.. and I said "because I know I couldn't spend my days without him." I said "we've dated other people, and still had to talk to each other every day. We are perfect for one another and I knew I would never be able to live my life without talking with him everyday...that's when I knew I was going to spend forever loving him." The crowd went wild...... as you can imagine. I secretly think Jordan was wiping away a tear at the other end of the table.

For all the days along the way
