Hi all ! We appreciate your flexibility during this time. We have eloped and would love you to celebrate July 9
Mark and i enjoy the outdoors very much, having recently explored Iceland and hiking several places in Colorado earlier this year. Mark's visit back to Colorado started a few days earlier than I was told, he arrived on a Saturday, was picked up at the airport by my parents, stayed at their house and the hotel I manage all without my knowledge; he had "the talk" with my father and finalized his plan to "pop the question". We previously tried to hike a mountain in Boulder, Mt. Sanitas, but ran out of light and had to use our phones to get back to the car, only to vowel to each other that we would try again when some day soon but leave earlier in the day. We planned to hike Mount Sanitas and eat dinner (afterwards) a few days earlier, but when we left work I lacked energy because I skipped lunch and insisted that we eat some tacos before we got started. It was Taco Tuesday, so that meant ALOT of tacos. After tacos we put up the hammock and laid there for like an hour while the temperature died down. During the hike, having just eaten and working a long day, I wasn't motivated to finish again, however Mark was real insistent so we pressed on. When we finally made the top it was pitch black and thunderstorms was lighting up the sky in the distance. On the top he dropped down to one knee and reached into his backpack and pulled out a small box and opened it as he said the words "Ambur Jensen, will you marry me". After I said yes he pulled out a small bottle of champagne and a couple of glasses. We sat on the top watching the thunderstorm and enjoying the moment, before starting to hike down using our cellphones as flashlights. We look forward to endless peaks in our future
