Oceanfront Suites at Cowichan Bay

Our friends at The Oceanfront Suites at Cowichan Bay have so kindly set aside rooms for our lovely guests at a special rate! They are on a first come first serve basis and need to be booked directly with the hotel before April 29, 2026. Flight

YYJ & YCD

For our guests flying in from out of town, there are 2 airport options for you to fly into on the island. You can choose to fly into Victoria (YYJ) or Nanaimo (YCD). Depending on where you would like to stay both are great options, however, flying into Victoria will allow for more transit options. We recommend that you consider renting a vehicle while you're here. The Cowichan Valley is a good 45min-1hour drive from either location and that could be an expensive Uber/taxi ride. If you need help knowing what to do please don't hesitate reaching out to us and we will come up with a solution together!

Travel Note

Ferry

If you decide you want to fly into Vancouver (YVR) or are traveling from Vancouver you will have to hop on the Ferry! You can use BC Ferries which you will catch from Tsawwassen to Swartz Bay (Victoria) or Duke Point (Nanaimo). You can choose to walk on the ferry or drive on if you decide to drive. Alternatively you can take the Hullo ferry from downtown Vancouver to Nanaimo. This ferry is walk-on only. You may want to book your ferry spot in advance to make sure you can make it to the wedding on time as the ferries can fill up quickly, especially on the weekends if you decide to travel on the day of our wedding :)

Accomodation

We would like for you to note that due to the location of our wedding, there aren't many transportation options to and from Victoria or Nanaimo. So due to this we would recommend, if you do not have a car, on the night of our wedding June 7, 2026 or earlier, you stay in a hotel or Airbnb nearby, in the Cowichan Valley area for your ease of transportation & comfort.
