"We're Getting Married!"

We met on campus at Indiana University where we both were going to school. We went on a coffee date on September 12th 2021 at Soma Coffee in Bloomington Indiana. We started off with casual small talk and proceeded to talk about all the deeper stuff as well. We talked about what we wanted for our futures and connected through our faith. After a few hours of talking about everything and anything, we went to go get dinner together at a local Mexican restaurant. We went on more dates and had more conversations about life and family and everything in between. Caleb found out soon after we started dating that he was going on a deployment. We let that information sink in, as we realized he was going to be gone for a year. We started spending all the time we could together. We hung out with friends and went on a lot of dates. The time for him to leave came up fast. On the day Caleb was leaving, we woke up early and we drove to his armory and said our goodbyes and see you soons. A few days later we found out we were going to be parents. While Caleb was across the world, Amber was growing a little baby. We were sad he wasn't with us while equally scared and excited for the journey to come. In the year of deployment, Amber graduated college, Caleb made lifelong friends, Amber moved home and found comfort in family (the old and the new), and we both shared many beautiful moments over FaceTime. Finally, the time had come for Caleb to come home for a short while and for Amber to have the baby. Our little girl was born November 2nd, 2023, and we named her Violet Rose. A few months later Caleb came home for good, and we have been living together and becoming the family, we have always wanted to be since beginning our relationship. We have loved each other through hard times, and fun times, and want to continue to do so for the rest of our lives<3
