Amber and Will met at a floor hockey kick-off party, proving that beer and bad music can occasionally lead to great decisions. After some prying, Amber learned that Will was also a Cardinals/Blues/Packers fan, which got him a foot in the door. It wasn’t long before they bonded over their shared love of dogs, crossword puzzles, and a mutual inability to say no to a good brewery visit. Amber, a lifelong hockey fan, made it her mission to convert Will into a fan of the sport—and after enough games and strategic encouragement, he finally caved. Will, a lifelong beer fan, made it his mission to convert Amber into a knowledgeable beer nerd — and after enough crisp lagers, delightfully bitter IPAs and obnoxiously adjunted stouts, he was met with great success. When he’s not busy learning the finer points of hockey, Will spends his time pursuing his passions of woodworking, scuba diving, and beer reviewing, as well as his board work for the Lincoln Park Zoo. Meanwhile, Amber juggles her job as a leadership development trainer, her board work for Gads Hill Center (a great little non-profit focused on early-childhood education), and her tireless devotion to RPG video games—proving that saving virtual worlds is excellent stress management. In their eight years together, Amber and Will have made plenty of great moves—literally and figuratively. They moved in together, adopted Fritz to join their beloved Pony, and bought an adorable Claremont cottage (which is so cute it’s been featured on multiple TV shows). They have made some larger trips together as well: Germany for Oktoberfest, Hawaii for... Hawaii, Maine and New Brunswick for trees and beer, Vermont for trees and beer, Quebec/Montreal/Toronto for hockey and delightful Canadians, Jupiter for Cardinals Spring training, Cozumel for a warmer Christmas with family, and lots of brewery roadtrips and camping. Clearly there is a shared passion. On September 20, 2025, they’ll be celebrating their greatest milestone yet, surrounded by the family and friends who’ve cheered them on along the way. They can’t wait to raise a glass with all of you.
