"Fate” is a funny word, especially when describing how two people become one couple. Hollywood’s definition of “fate” is Rachel McAdams traveling back to her hometown and reconnecting with Ryan Gosling as he builds a house. Or Tom Hanks trying to put Meg Ryan’s bookstore out of business. Fate was a bit different for us. Vince isn’t exactly a handyman and Amber just loves Barnes & Noble. Vince and Amber’s version of fate was working across from each other on 5th Avenue in New York City, just close enough for Amber’s Tinder to pick up Vince’s profile with her 2 mile radius setting (Vince was open to finding love in a 100 mile radius). Picky, picky. After two right swipes and Vince begging for Amber’s cell phone number (which he only recently memorized), Vince and Amber met for their first date on January 5, 2017 at Art Bar in the West Village, arriving just in time to snag the one open table by the fire place. Fate. The night at Art Bar couldn’t have been more perfect. Vince and Amber enjoyed multiple fruity cocktails, argued over their favorite One Direction songs, and then capped off the night with Amber complaining about how hot she was sitting by the romantic fireplace. It was truly meant to be. Four and a half years later, Vince and Amber have grown into the couple that Hollywood really should make a movie about. They’ve travelled to different countries together, built homes together (metaphorically speaking, of course) and have cultivated a beautiful relationship rooted in love, laughter, and the deepest support for one another. And now, fate will bring them to the proverbial alter on June 12, 2022. It’s destined to be just the perfect day.
