Kellie Mieras

Maid of Honor

I have known Kellie since we were sorority sisters at Grand Valley State University...so a long time! When I moved to California, I didn't know anybody but Kellie. She took me under her wing, helped me acclimate and introduced me to some pretty amazing friends (that I love and adore to this day). She became my ride or die, and has always been then for me through every crazy adventure life threw at me. She is quite possibly the kindest most loving person I know and would do anything for the people she loves. I am fortunate enough to be one of those people. I am so happy that she will be standing by my side as I say I Do!

Rick Borchert

Best Man

Through all the ups and downs, my older brother, Rick, was always there. I mean, we did share a room until we were out of high school, so needless to say there were some contentious moments between the two of us. But through it all, we always found a way to hang out and grew closer together because of it. From trading baseball cards and Halloween candy, to backpacking through Europe and getting on each others nerves with all the incessant questions at the museums, Rick always had my best interests in mind. As a younger brother you always look up to your big bro, and Rick set a great example of the person with whom I strive to be.

Megan Bridges

Bridesmaid

Megan and I started at Pediatric Therapy Network the same month (January 2013). We became snowboarding buddies, adventure buddies, wine and hiking buddies and eventually roommates. Some of our best memories are from going to pick up our wine shipments in Malibu and singing car karaoke (which no one else will ever hear). Megan's heart is bigger than most people I know and she always goes above and beyond to make sure people feel loved and included. Her love for Hallmark movies probably influenced that :). Megan's family became 1 of my west coast families as they adopted me as one of their own, taking me in for holidays that I couldn't spend with my own family. We have become family and I'm so grateful to have her in my life and standing by my side through life and my wedding day.

Scott Borchert

Groomsman

What can I say about Scott, my oldest brother, other than you know whether or not he likes you. Scott has a big heart, is very boisterous, and you know when he is nearby. But that also means when you hear him, you know you're in good company. Scott and I, when we were younger, were into different things, Scott with airplanes and trains and me with sports, but we always found ways to hang out. When I started high school, Scott was a Senior and even though he and his friends did haze me, it was lighthearted and in good fun. As we grew up, we became closer, even letting myself be comfortable enough to get into his car while he is driving. Scott may not live nearby, but he always is eager to help with any problem or questions I have whenever I call him.

Danielle Flynn

Bridesmaid

Dani and I met through Megan, and the rest is history! She became one of my favorite workout buddies, AM coffee walk buddies, and vent sesh wine night gals. She is Steve's cousin and it was at her wedding that our story began, so one could argue she is the catalyst for all of us coming together on 3/6/21! Dani is one of the 'sweetest' (pun on her amazing baking skills and her characteristic), loving and loyal friends. She has been a rock during every up and down over the years and I know (without a doubt) that no matter the situation, she would drop everything for the people she loves. I am fortunate enough to call her family!

Erin Flynn

Groomsman

Flynn, what his close friends call him, and I have been friends since our days at CPK. Despite getting off on the wrong foot, thanks Flynn's ex, we ended up coming close together on a drunken night, as I was the DD. He may have been embarrassed at the time, but asked me to pull the car over since he was feeling ill. I was more than happy to oblige since I didn't want to clean that mess up. Ever since, we have gone on vacations and regular lunches at BWW all the while cracking jokes. If you know Flynn, he always has a good story and can keep you entertained rather effortlessly and he is always the life of the party. Flynn is a big softie and will give you the shirt off his back and is always happy to help in any capacity without batting an eye.

Lesley Borchert

Bridesmaid

Lesley is Steve's sister-in-law (married to Rick). I have known her since I started hanging out with the Newmans/Borcherts/Bridges. However, our deeper bond started at Dani's bachelorette party when she bet me I wouldn't put a temporary tattoo on my face at the bar (needless to say, the next round was on Lesley). I've had the pleasure and fortune of getting closer to not only Lesley, but her family as well, over the past couple of years. We've shared many laughs and good times over the years from wine nights in the hot tub to girls weekends in wine country. I'm beyond excited to call her my sister!

Cody Ramseyer

Groomsman

Cody is Amber's younger brother and despite the fact that we have only met a handful of times we still have had some good time together. When I went to visit Amber's family in Indiana, Cody was more than welcoming and was happy to have a beer with me, despite not knowing anything about me, it helped put me at ease and was very much appreciated. When Cody and Amber's parents came out last Christmas, I was happy to return the favor and helped get him out of the house. We ended up going out to some bars, did a bit of karaoke and just genuinely enjoyed each others company. I'm glad we were able to grow closer as friends and I know Amber was happy about it as well.

Alaina Maender

Bridesmaid

I have known Alaina since I started at PTN, we shared a desk space (our chairs literally backed into each other). She took me under wing as a novel OT in a different state, knowing barely anyone. She not only helped me navigate the crazy new profession but also became a shoulder to lean on personally as well. She is always the first person to reach out and make sure I wasn't alone on holidays, inviting me in with her family (which became my other west coast family). Some of my favorite memories are spending weekends in the desert, sound baths in amazing domes, hiking, pub crawls, and happy hours. Alaina is someone who knows how to find the best balance in life and always brightens the room when she walks in, and I am fortunate enough to be blessed and motivated by her daily!

Bret Johnson

Groomsman

Bret and I have been friends since we were in high school, despite us going to different schools. We met through mutual friends when we would play video games together, build potato cannons, and going to music shows. Bret and I ended up playing hockey together, where he nearly blinded me, not really but Bret thought he could flip the puck over my head, and eventually he ended up being roommates with Rick and Flynn. There were good times, my birthday at Q's and Bret with the PS, they all know what I am talking about, to Halloween parties with windows getting broken. Bret is always there with a helping hand, especially when you have any computer problems or need your conspiracy theory fix.
