We're Getting Married!

Amber and I met during middle school at Lake. She and I competed continuously with each other during long jump practice during my 7th grade year and her 8th grade year. She didn't remember this though until a few years later when I brought up. And yes, the reason I remembered was that I had a huge crush on her the entire time. Fast forward 2 years. Amber is a sophomore and I am a freshman at Lake. During my freshman year of track she and some friends told me that I should run cross country in the fall of my sophomore year. I said that I would on the condition that she would continue to be in the high school band which she was considering quitting. (My plan was to find ways through school to keep spending time with her as I had no idea how to handle my crush). Now in my sophomore year and Amber in her junior year, we began talking more and more through cross country practices and band events. Eventually I summed up enough courage to ask her to be my girlfriend and the rest is now history. We are both so thankful to everyone who played a part in our story thus far and look forward to our future as both husband and wife, and Mr. and Mrs. Harger.
