Twin Cities Pride is always something I look forward to! Well 2018 Pride had big plans in store for me! On Saturday of Pride weekend a random girl came walking up to our table and introduced herself as Sarah to our table. I was convinced she was hitting on my friend and gave her my robot armed awkward handshake and said "Hi, I'm Amber!" As weird as the introduction was the conversation never stopped and smoothly turned into us dancing. We went off to enjoy the Ferris Wheel ride but as soon as I got locked in this little cart with her, she and her big ego got the best of her and I lost all my patience. I kept telling her that as soon as I got off that Ferris Wheel I was going to turn the other direction and we would never see each other again. I thought that our personalities clashed so much... but not a day has gone by since 6/23/2018 that we have not spoke to one another. Not a day has gone by since that Ferris Wheel ride that I haven't thought about that girl. It all began that day, and it has never faded!
I’d like to start out by thanking Jen for convincing me to go to Pride that night! THANK YOU! I went out that day w absolutely NO intentions of meeting anyone. We were at an establishment and after a while I looked across the bar and noticed a group of girls....figures😉 I chit chatted w all the girls, couldn’t make it obvious that I was googly for Amber! She got me to leave the place we were at and go to the block party downtown. THERE WAS A FERRIS WHEEL 🎡 And that was the beginning of Amber knowing Sarah. Our first photo, which I thought would probably be the only photo, was taken on that Ferris Wheel, My heart skipped some beats on that Ferris Wheel, and I’m VERY thankful Amber didn’t toss me off that Ferris Wheel as I know she was thinking it! A lot happened in between all of that, feel free to ask for details at the wedding! I never imagined life as the way it is now and I am SO, SO, incredibly grateful for all that I have w Amber and the kids. So, I’m puttin the ring on it!!!!
