Our story began in the most unexpected way — through family photos. Amber, a photographer with a love for capturing connection, first met Rachel thanks to Liz, Rachel’s sister-in-law and one of Amber’s earliest loyal clients. For years, Amber photographed Liz’s family, never realizing that those sessions would quietly plant the seeds of something bigger. It wasn’t until later that fate reconnected Amber and Rachel. At first, Amber played it cool (giving Rachel the cold shoulder), but eventually her heart opened — and when it did, everything changed. From that moment forward, the two became inseparable. Some of our favorite memories together have been spent traveling (Malibu holds a special place in our hearts) along with annual Fourth of July trips to the river, endless inside jokes, and the sweetest times with our nieces and nephews. But above everything else, our favorite memory will always be this: the way we love each other. We balance one another perfectly. Rachel is quiet and reserved, while Amber is outgoing and vibrant. Everyone else may know Rachel as the shy one, but Amber gets a side of her that no one else does — and she wouldn’t trade that for anything. And then came the proposals (yes, plural). Amber popped the question first, only to find out that Rachel had already bought a ring. In true Rachel fashion, she returned it and chose a matching band instead — a detail that quickly became not only our favorite part of the story, but everyone else’s too. 💍😭 Now, we’re beyond excited for what’s ahead: building a future together as one. Because at the end of the day, our greatest adventure will always be simply being “us.”
