I (Amber) was going to ministry school, and jokingly asked my friends Lydia and her husband, Jesse, if I could move in with them. They said yes! One thing, they had another roommate as well: their cousin, Nathan. I looked Nathan dead in the eye and said, "Don't fall in love me cause then I'd have to move out." Jokes on me, Nathan had interest in me since the moment he laid eyes on me. Fast forward a year an a half! Nathan and I had grown in our friendship, but little did I know that this interest had grown into a full blown crush, and Nathan was actually considering pursuing. I was completely oblivious until one day he was gaming with his friends and I said, "Nathan! You should hang out with me!" and he said, "Okay! Alright lads. I gotta go." I was really taken aback that he prioritized me so quickly! But that was only the beginning. Over the next few weeks, Nathan did not slow down in pursuing me, and I took quick notice of his advances and began falling for his kindness and consideration of others. February 2nd, 2024: it happened. THE conversation. We took a walk.... silence loomed over us as I waited for him to bring up the knot in our stomachs. Then he said it: "I think it's no surprise... I'm kinda into you." Conversation continued, I admitted to him that I liked him too. The next day I went to my parents to let them know I had to move back home. I moved out a week later. February 28th, 2024: Nathan's birthday. I show up to his house and surprised him. I gave him a gift, asked him to be my boyfriend and took him out for burgers. From then till now, the Lord has guided every one of our steps through laughter, wonder, and hard conversations, and we hope you can join us as we end this season and step into the rest of our lives as one.
