Unfortunately, due to the damages from Hurricane Melissa in Jamaica, the Destination Wedding has been cancelled. However, Amber and Mohamed have decided to combine the White Church Ceremony and the Traditional Ceremony into one day. Please reference the RSVP tab for more information pertaining to the time and location of each event.
A Traditional Ceremony is an African Wedding Ceremony full of symbolic customs that represent different aspects of the marriage such as commitment and the giving away of the Bride. Mohamed's family is from Sierra Leone in West Africa, so we want to incorporate this in our ceremony. The White Church Ceremony will be the typical style and ceremony of a Christian and Western Wedding held at a Chapel, exchanging vows by a Pastor. The deadline has passed to RSVP for the Traditional Ceremony. Please do not show up if you did not RSVP. The guest list will be strictly enforced by security. However, if there are changes with your availability and you are no longer able to attend the Traditional Ceremony, we kindly ask that you reach out to Amber and Moe to update your RSVP, so they can make arrangements in advance. Please be courteous of time, effort, and finances that go into a wedding.
Yes. The White Church Ceremony is open to anyone who would like to attend. However, the Traditional Ceremony and Reception will only be available to guests who RSVP'd by the deadline.
Money spraying refers to a traditional wedding practice, where guests at a wedding literally "spray" cash onto the bride and groom while they dance, signifying their well wishes, happiness, and support for the couple.
Although we love your little ones, we respectfully want to notate that the ceremony and reception is adult-only.
With an exception of spouses, due to space limitations, we are unable to accommodate plus ones at either event.
