Amber and Keeya met in middle school, and were in many of the same friendship circles. Through the side glances, Keeya's unofficial tutoring to get Amber through Algebra, and after-school shenanigans, their connection was undeniable. Over time this connection strengthened and they officially started dating in 9th grade!

Keeya and Amber began their college journey separately, but always found a way back together. Amber began at Montgomery College to get her Associates of Education while Keeya pursued his degree at UMD to earn his BS in Biology. Amber then transferred to UMD to pursue her Bachelor's in Elementary Education. Though Keeya lived on-campus and Amber lived with her family in Gaithersburg, they still made efforts to spend time together and visit each other as much as possible.

Keeya and Amber have now been together for nearly 13 years! They have shared lots of memories together and many of these have served to strengthen their bond over time. In 2021, Keeya moved to Barbados for nearly a year for medical school. Although it was difficult to be separated for so long, they believe it was a true test of their relationship that they passed with flying colors! When Keeya returned, they purchased their first condo together and now live happily with their cats in Germantown, MD. Amber is working nearby at Waters Landing Elementary School, while Keeya completes the final year of his medical education.
